Ruby is a senior research and communications adviser supporting government, infrastructure and energy clients across Australia. She combines strategic insight, stakeholder engagement and mixed‑method research expertise to help organisations navigate complex policy environments, manage reputational risk and make evidence‑based decisions.
At SEC Newgate Australia, Ruby designs and delivers qualitative and quantitative research to inform engagement strategies, policy development and long‑term planning. Her work spans stakeholder and community research, perceptions of major infrastructure and energy projects, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable advice for decision‑makers.
Ruby has particular expertise in understanding community and stakeholder expectations around future energy and infrastructure projects, helping clients anticipate concerns, build trust and strengthen their social licence to operate. Her approach blends methodological rigour with a practical understanding of how research insights can be applied to communications, engagement and reputation management.
Prior to consulting, Ruby worked across the not‑for‑profit sector, including as a Communications and Events Adviser at the Clontarf Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney and a Master of Communication and Journalism from the University of New South Wales.
